Dental Group
The Dental Group launched its first campaign in 1954 to support the School of Dentistry at the Hebrew University and joined forces with Alpha Omega in 1969.

The School of Dentistry at the Hebrew University is Israel's only dental school.
In addition to teaching dentistry and researching dental medicine the School also:
• has an outreach programme providing health education in kindergartens, elementary schools, senior citizen homes, and in centers for mentally and physically handicapped children
• is involved with dental health programmes for immigrants from Ethiopia, both on the primary and secondary care levels. Most of this population has never previously been exposed to dental and oral hygiene care
• crosses territorial borders through student exchange programs, invitations to guest lecturers and agreements of cooperation with overseas universities in Argentina, Canada, France, Great Britain, Japan, Rumania and the United States
• has inaugurated a collaborative programme with Al-Quds University in March 2006 where graduate students from Al-Quds undertake advanced specialty training at the Hebrew University's School of Dentistry
• helps senior citizens in secondary care at the "Yad Sarah"clinic
The First Middle East Symposium on Dental Medicine – a breakthrough in cooperation between Israeli and Palestinian academics – was held on 27th November 2006 in Jerusalem despite the existing tense political situation. Watch the video here.
