Cell Life and Death: Fighting Cancer
29-04-2010Cancer is one of the world's biggest killers, with various forms affecting one in four people in the UK alone. Enormous strides have been made in recent decades in the battle against this deadly disease, but the battle is far from over.
Please join us for a fascinating lecture by one of our alumni, Prof. Atan Gross who earned a B.Sc. in Biology (1987), and his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1995) degrees in biochemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Gross, an expert in 'Cell Life and Death' will provide an in-depth look into breakthroughs being made in Cancer treatment, rehabilitation and technology and how we will overcome the threat that this killer poses.
